The Future Narratives: Projections of Female Identity e-book is a compilation of narratives of the future written by Australian women.

As part of a Master’s research project on the future of female identity, these stories of the future project forward to the year 2122.

The authors were given freedom to design the social, political and environmental aspects of a future female’s life. A divergent set of stories has emerged. Themes of utopia, dystopia, female identity and motherhood are prominent, alongside projections of climate change catastrophes. Examples of women exerting influence as organisers and providers of solutions are compelling.

Together, these stories provide a fascinating read.
